SORTING

You need:
Different pairs of socks of different colors
Different sizes of 2-3 books each

Activity:
Ask your child to group socks and books in different category.
Ask your child again to differentiate socks and books according to specific attribute, such as color, size, or any other similarity.
Ask your child to comment on each category, by asking them:
How are these items different from one another?

COLLECTING THINGS

You need:
Paper bag
Any objects that are alike in some way eg: blocks , toys, cups etc

Activity:

  • Ask your child that you're going to collect objects that are of same identity and put them in the paper bag.
  • In a similar way ask your child to collect objects of same colour.
  • Ask your child to comment on each object by asking:
Why did you choose these objects to go in this bag?
Which color does your object belong to?
